Jeffery Swanson Sr.

May 12, 1957 - December 24, 2018

Jeffrey V. Swanson Sr. Came into this world on Mother's Day, May 12, 1957 at 7:32 am and left us on Christmas Eve, Dec 24, 2018 at 5:45 pm. He always knew how to make an entrance and how to make a great exit. My sweetheart demonstrated his love and care not in words, but in the actions that he took towards his family, friends and neighbors. Jeff loved to feed you, give you a cold beer, nice glass of wine or a shot of Uzo. If he could give you half of his freezer full of meat, he would have. if he could give you half of his clothes, he would have. If he could give you his last dollar in his pocket, he would have and he never, ever expected anything in return and that's the gospel truth. Master Sergeant Swanson was a hard working, blue collar boy from Milwaukee who only knew how to sacrifice and take nothing for himself. As generous as he was, he could be extremely demanding and exacting. He liked his kitchen, fridge and pantry well stocked and well organized. He also liked to open doors for me, fill up my tank with gas, have dinner waiting for us at the end of our day. He was the best husband I had and though I waited for him all of my life and only had him for 3 short years, he did more for me and mine than anyone ever did, period. My girls and I will miss seeing you and miss hearing you pronounce butter like booter or Wisconsin like Wis-CAN-sen. We will miss eating your wonderful food and steaks that never needed a knife to cut into them. I will miss waking up in the middle of the night with you holding my hand. I will miss you saying "Don't worry, it'll be okay". I know that you are currently organizing God's pantry up in Heaven and having a cold beer with your dad. I also know that you have completely forgiven your mother for making you wear those red "Clown" shoes you hated so much! I/We will see you again, but in the meantime, we will honor you and your memory in all the things that we do and say. We will make sure to remain good stewards of our fellow man and we will continue to love and care for your puppies and your kittens just like you did when you were home with us. Thank you to all of our friends and family that came to see Jeff during his last few days. He knew you were there and he knew he was greatly loved and appreciated. Jeffrey is survived by 1 brother, 2 sisters, 4 beautiful children and 5 amazing grandbabies. He was truly a blessed man. Until I see your sweet face again my dearest love. Your Loving Wife! Lilly

I am so sorry that this day had to come. The girls and I loved hearing all the tales of Big Daddy Jeff and wish he could have been here longer for more tales of the silver back gorilla. You and your family as always is in our hearts and prayers and if you need ANYTHING at all you just say the word.
